Guests watched special behind-the-scenes preview from the set of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, introduced by lead star Felicity Jones in full rebel costume and director Gareth Edwards and followed by a screening of the teaser trailer in 3D.
Edwards discussed working on a film set so close to his favorite movie of all time, 1977's Star Wars: A New Hope. But he allayed all concerns by saying, "if you don't take a risk, what new are you bringing to the table?"
The guests also watched exclusive of Doctor Strange, due out in October, showing Benedict Cumberbatch's transformation from a leading neurosurgeon into a sorcerer superhero.Special effects from the film were shown, alongside scenes shot in Kathmandu, Nepal, where Strange meets Tilda Swinton's mystic mentor, The Ancient One.
Chris Pratt sent a video message to introduce exclusive behind-the-scenes on-set footage from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, due out next spring. In the video, director James Gunn welcomed back his box-office-conquering band of superheroes, including Vin Diesel, whom he joked had "arguably the most lines to learn" as the grunting Groot.
